Standup Timer

A daily standup quickly runs over time if speaking time isn't shared equally. This free Standup Timer walks through each team member in a structured way: enter names (or choose a count), set the speaking time and start the timer. A signal sounds at every transition so the next person knows it's their turn.

Standup Timer: how does it work?

Enter your team members' names, separated by commas. Leave the field empty to use the default 'Person 1, 2, 3'. Choose the speaking time per person (30, 60, 90 or 120 seconds). Click 'Apply' to start the timer. The timer automatically advances to the next person at the end of each turn. Use the standard buttons to pause or reset.

Example

Say you have a team of 5: Anna, Ben, Celine, Dan, Emma. • Enter the names, separated by commas. • Choose 60 seconds per person. • Start the timer — each person gets exactly 1 minute. • At each signal the next person takes their turn. The total is 5 minutes for the entire standup.

Frequently asked questions

How do I enter my team members' names?

Type the names separated by commas in the text field, for example: Anna, Ben, Celine. Leave the field empty to automatically use 'Person 1', 'Person 2', and so on based on the default count.

Can I adjust the speaking time per person?

Yes. Choose 30, 60, 90 or 120 seconds per person via the dropdown. Changes take effect after clicking 'Apply'.

Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?

Yes. The timer computes elapsed time from timestamps, so the countdown stays accurate even when the tab is in the background.

Is the timer free?

Yes, the Standup Timer is completely free and requires no account. Use it every day in your daily standup.
